Following 30 years in the Catering Industry, Richard Wedgbury decided to create a Specialist Consultancy Service, to share his wealth of knowledge on Education Catering .
After graduating from Westminster Hotel School , Richard spent the first 10 years gaining experience in a wide range of Catering jobs.
In 1980 he was elected a Fellow of the Hotel & Catering Institutional Management Association.
For the last 20 years he has worked for 2 of the largest Contract Catering Companies (Compass and then Fairfield ). Initially as an Area Manager responsible for the financial and operational control of 12 Independent Schools in East Anglia . After 5 years he was promoted to Sales Manager responsible for negotiating new contracts. He has successfully negotiated over 150 contracts in the 15 years since 1980. These have been mainly in the Independent and Grant Maintained Sectors .
